Welcome!

Greetings to the Young Adult Community of Atlanta and to the many visitors of this web site worldwide! Welcome to the homepage for Archdiocese of Atlanta's Young Adult Ministry. Atlanta is known for its vibrant young adult community. There are so many different avenues to get involve in young adult activities - spiritual, social and service orientated. There is something for everyone! We hope you find our web site helpful in finding those activities that will lead you to connect with Jesus Christ and His Church. I believe that God has big plans for YAM. He will continue to renew the Church through the Catholic Young Adult Community of Atlanta. Yet, we renew the Church by renewing ourselves. Pope Benedict XVI in his encyclical, Deus Caritas Est, God is Love, tells us, "Certainly, one can become a source from which rivers of living water flow. Yet to become such a source, one must constantly drink anew from the original source, which is Jesus Christ..."

May God pour out His graces upon you!

In Christ’s Service,
Dorothy Polchinski,
Associate Director, Adult and Young Adult Ministry

Hosted by St. Jude YAM

Come hear our guest speaker, Fr. Vic Galier from St Matthews in Tyrone, GA, speak about "CRS: Our Outreach to the World"

Don't know Fr. Vic? Don't even know where Tyrone is? Well, check out his blog! When he's not eating soup in Japan and cruising on zip lines, he's talking about CRS!

What is CRS? No, we aren't talking about the Congressional Research Service or the Council of Residential Specialists, we're talking about Catholic Relief Services! This CRS is the official international humanitarian agency of the U.S. Catholic community - but that's a lot of words and they say pictures are worth a thousand words, so check 'em out on YouTube and watch more about what Catholics are doing in more than 100 countries to alleviate suffering and provide assistance to people in need, without regard to race, religion or nationality! Then, show up Wednesday and be inspired by Fr. Vic and the work that CRS is doing... plus you have to be there to get a shot at being pictured in his blog!

See ya Wednesday!
