Atlanta TEC Email List
Atlanta TEC Mailing List Guidelines

The Atlanta TEC mailing list is for the edification and building up of the Atlanta TEC community, and for the building up and glorification of the Kingdom of God.

To this end, please follow the following guidelines for posting to the mailing list:

1. Brevity: Please keep things under a page in length.

2. Prayer requests: Please limit prayer requests to 3 lines. If more details are needed, please list the prayer request, then the details.

3. The exchange of ideas and other such discussions (e.g. politics) should be carried out in private email or discussion forums such as the Catholic Online Forum (forum.catholic.org).

4. Please be aware of TEC events, and try to avoid posting events that conflict.

5. Please refrain from posting solicitation or fundraising messages unless they support TEC.

6. Avoid posting anything that is obviously meant to be divisive.

7. Anything sent in private to you regarding something on the list should not be sent to the list.

8. Use caution when forwarding messages from another list. If it is something inspirational, then send it, but include instructions for how to subscribe to the other list.

9. Do not send virus warnings and other "free offers" messages to the list.
Most of these are hoaxes. Your ISP or office IS team will notify you of any real viruses.

10. This list has more than 500 people on it, and it is continuing to grow. Please keep this in mind when posting messages.

Other information:

1. If forwarding something from another list, please delete all the extra headers and stuff. Also, some mail programs are set to send "HTML" code; please disable this if possible.

2. Certain messages will bounce back to the sender by an automatic filter.
These include long messages (more than 50 kB), HTML code, attachments, etc. If you send a message and it is rejected, then contact the list owners (below).

3. The mail software will reject any message with more than 10 addresses in
TO: or CC:. The mail software will also reject the message if the TEC list is included via BCC:. If sending a message to a lot of people please use
BCC: to hide the addresses, and send a separate copy to TEC.

4. This mailing list is maintained by Larry Schauer and Jason Price. Send admin questions about about the list to them at tec-admin@yam.org.
Send questions/comments about this document to the TEC Council at tec-council@lists.yam.org.

5. The moderator/facilitator for this list is Larry Schauer. If messages are posted to the list which do not conform to the guidelines above, he will send a friendly reminder to that person. Send questions about list content to Larry at larry@yam.org.

6. If you want somebody's email, please send a message to the list admin (instead of the entire list). They will forward it to the person.

Peace in Christ,

The Atlanta TEC Advisory Council
