Vic Galier Fr. Vic Galier joins us in sharing about an agency close to his heart: Catholic Relief Services. Fr. Vic hails originally from Oklahoma and is the youngest of six children. He graduated from both Saint Meinrad College and St. Vincent Seminary. Fr. Vic was ordained to the priesthood in 1998 and is currently the pastor of St. Matthew’s in Tyrone. He proudly serves as a Global Fellow with Catholic Relief Services. Tuesday, June 30 Sr. Mary Gabriel, S.V Sr. Mary Gabriel, S.V. currently serves as the Vocations Director with The Sisters of Life, a religious community of women consecrated by a fourth vow to protect and enhance the sacredness of human life. Based in New York, the community, founded in 1991 by John Cardinal O’Connor, numbers 65 Sisters and has seven mission houses. Sr. Mary Gabriel, SV, has been a member of the community since 1999. Wednesday, July 8 Frank Hanna Come hear Frank J. Hanna III, a local Atlanta merchant banker, share the exciting adventure of how he helped to obtain, on behalf of the Vatican, P75 - the oldest extant copy of the Gospel of Luke. The Vatican has declared this gift as ‘the greatest treasure received in the past 100 years’ – and it all began here in Atlanta. Frank Hanna been highly involved in promoting educational liberty for the last 24 years, helping to start three new Catholic schools in Atlanta, leading various efforts for school reform, and chairing the President’s Advisory Commission on Educational Excellence for Hispanic Americans. He is the author of a newly released book, What Your Money Means. Wednesday, July 15 Tom Peterson For 25 years, Tom Peterson built his career as an award-winning, national corporate advertising executive. But Tom’s life would radically change forever, after receiving an incredible and transforming Spiritual conversion in 1997, while on a men’s retreat from his church. Soon afterward, he founded VirtueMedia.org and CatholicsComeHome.org, educational non-profit media apostolates dedicated the Catholic principles of the sanctity of life and Catholic evangelization. With the vision to combine his innovative professional media background with Catholic virtues, Peterson dedicated himself to producing and airing powerful national-quality Catholic television commercials worldwide. Wednesday, July 22 Fr. Henry Atem Having a tough time getting through the economic crisis? Trying to navigate through difficult circumstances in life? Fr. Henry Atem will share his wisdom and practical insight on ‘making sense of suffering’ through the lens of faith. Fr. Atem studied at North Georgia College, UGA, and Mount St. Mary's Seminary, earning a Masters Degree in Systematic Theology. He was ordained on May 31, 2008 by Archbishop Gregory with 7 fellow seminarians. Fr. Henry is assigned to St. Peter Chanel parish in Roswell, GA. Fr. Henry also enjoys soccer, tennis, and reading.
